Circles
I love to make things with materials that I find in nature. I enjoy experimenting with natural fibres from plants and trees, using simple weaving techniques to create shapes and forms. I made these circles while walking in the woods near my home, in the months after the birth of my second baby.
Blessed Bee
Bee, wool, jasmine, crocosmia, honeysuckle. A soft, enclosing, minature coffin for a bee. The wool is from a local sheep and the deceased bee and other materials were found in my garden.
Garden Basket
Basket made from ivy and honeysuckle vines from my garden.
O sweet spontaneous
earth how often have
the
doting
fingers of
prurient philosophers pinched
and
poked
thee
,has the naughty thumb
of science prodded
thy
beauty how
often have religions taken
thee upon their scraggy knees
squeezing and
buffeting thee that thou mightest conceive
gods
(but
true
to the incomparable
couch of death thy
rhythmic
lover
thou answerest
them only with
spring)
